Situation: Construction Company – 75 employees
Challenge: PDF Logjam
- Wanted faster PDF printing and higher quality color scanning/printing
- PDFs printed slowly and paused during the print job on their current B/W units and would like better color quality on the color devices.
- Equipment was not configured with the same scanning capabilities
- End users had to choose which device had the capabilities they needed.
Solution: Five (5) ImageRUNNER 5050 with Universal Send, Print Kit, Finisher 2X ImageRUNNER 4080 with ColorPass H1 Fiery, Universal Send, Finisher, one (1) 1025IF, ImageWare Accounting Manager for MEAP
- Utilized technology which eliminated slow PDF printing and pauses that resulting from using emulated PS and PCL.
- Utilized the Eye 1 Process control software to profile a printer to be used as an output profile to limit color shift between two printers.
Results: Speedy PDFs and Increased Efficiency Plus a Bonus: Tracking
- Savings of approximately 20 hours per month in employee productivity due to improved printing and scanning solutions enabling more effective document workflow.
- Increase of chargebacks by up to 90% using ImageWare Accounting Manager to track copy and print jobs by project number so more chargebacks are completed.
