New Patches...More Bugs

At Datamax, we are adamant about keeping our clients' patches up to date. Here's a perfect example of why: 32 of Microsoft's 35 newly released bug patches already are assigned an exploitability rating, with 18 ranked at a "1".

And according to Microsoft, if you're slow to patch, especially for several of the vulnerabilities patched Tuesday. These include a pair of media-related bugs, several in Office 2007, and six in Internet Explorer.

According to Wolfgang Kandek, CTO of Qualys, a bug in Windows Movie Maker, software that shipped with Windows XP and Vista (but dumped from Window 7) could be exploited soon.
