Malware on the rise...latest report

McAfee has released its latest report on malware, software code that can harm computers and steal user passwords. According to McAfee, there are now 10 million new pieces of malicious code catalogued, and there has been a steady increase in the first half of 2010. And now Mac users are no longer safe with the discovery of the OSX/HellRTS Trojan.

According to McAfee’s statement, “…it serves as a reminder that in this age of cybercrime, data theft and identity theft users of all operating systems and devices must take precautions.”
